This was the first of a series of TVC's I wrote and directed for Vauxhall Motors through McCann London/Deeper Blue.

It was particularly fascinating to explore the firm's archives - and we transferred many of the scenes in this film from dusty old cans of original negs. In one case, the ad itself no longer survived - but we identified the shot from a ragged old U-Matic (remember those!), found the original film rushes in Vauxhall's basement and managed to find the shot we needed!

Also a great pleasure to work with the charming Bill Nighy, who provides the voiceover.
